The Bristol branch of Daigaku Karate Kai (DKK) has a thriving juniors section. The style of karate we practice is Okinawan Goju Ryu, meaning hard-soft school of empty hand. It has traditional roots and training methods and is still evolving as a modern and effective fighting and self-defence system. The system has been adapted for children with the aim being to improve self confidence, respect for one another and a desire to improve on a daily basis. There are currently over 100 juniors training with DKK ranging from white to black belt.
